Our Omani guide will introduce you to the capital and give you a behind-the-scenes look at Omani culture and lifestyle, in addition to the grand mosque, the fish market, the traditional souk and the old town. Immerse yourself in the oriental world on this full-day city tour.
At noon, you will make a lunch stop at Bait al Luban, a traditional Omani restaurant directly on the Corniche. Afterwards, you will visit a calligrapher who will tell you more about the Arabic art of writing.

Overnight stay in the Wahiba Sands Desert
Before heading into the desert, you will visit Wadi Hawer today, which is still unknown to many. Immerse yourself in an impressive natural scenery of deep canyons, clear water pools and majestic rock formations.
Then continue towards the Wahiba Desert. Through the seemingly endless dune landscape you will reach your camp, which has been built in the middle of the desert.

Birkat al Mauz + Jabal Akhdar Gebirge
After a relaxing morning in the desert, you set off towards the Omani mountains. In the mountain village of Birkat Al Mauz, you will stop at a small café to enjoy the beautiful view. You will then continue into the Jabal Akhdar Mountains to the altitude of over 2000 metres.
The Jabal Akhdar Mountains, also known as the "green mountains", owe their name to the fact that the region is one of the most fertile areas in the country.

Three Villages Hike in the Jabal Akhdar Mountains
Heute steht am Vormittag ein geführter Spaziergang entlang der traditionellen Dörfer im Jabal Akhdar Gebirge auf dem Programm. Machen Sie sich auf eine Entdeckungsreise durch die malerischen Dörfer. In den Obstgärten und auf den ausgedehnten Terrassenfeldern finden Sie eine Vielzahl von Früchten wie Granatäpfel, Aprikosen, Pfirsiche, Mandeln, Walnüsse und Weintrauben. Besonders bekannt sind die Rosen, aus denen das berühmte Jabal Akhdar-Rosenwasser destilliert wird.
Der Nachmittag steht Ihnen zur freien Verfügung, um die Umgebung auf eigene Faust zu erkunden oder sich zu entspannen.

Agricultural Walk & Bahla & Nizwa
In the morning, take an Agricultural Walk in Misfah to explore the rich agricultural landscape of this picturesque oasis. On this guided walk, you will discover lush terraced fields, traditional irrigation systems, and a variety of plant species.
Afterwards, you will visit the fortress of Jabrin. In Bahla, another highlight awaits you - a visit to a pottery where you can experience traditional Omani ceramic craftsmanship. In the evening you will reach Nizwa, where you will spend the night in a guesthouse in the heart of the souk.
OVERNIGHT AT NIZWA HERITAGE INN, STANDARD ROOM
Nizwas cattle market & back to Muscat
Today starts very early, because already in the early morning hours the traditional cattle market starts. Traders from all over Oman meet here since centuries old tradition to trade the animals dressed up for the occasion.
Afterwards you will drive through the impressive Wadi Bani Awf and a photo stop in Nakhl back to Muscat.
End the evening with dinner and drinks at the Trader Vic Restaurant overlooking the sea and review the trip.

Today it is either time to say "Ma'a Salama" and start your journey home OR enjoy a few more relaxing days at the beach. Optionally, you can still extend the trip individually. Either in a beautiful beach resort in Muscat or maybe you want to continue your trip to the beautiful south of the country, which has a lot to offer besides the beautiful beaches culturally and scenically.
