Start your journey in Muscat with a successful mix of relaxation, shared discoveries, and special experiences for the whole family. On the first full day, a relaxed dhow cruise along the coast awaits you, where you can hopefully observe dolphins in their natural habitat – an unforgettable experience. On the second day, you will explore the capital with a family-friendly city tour led by the German-speaking tour guide Sarah, who brings Muscat to life in an engaging and thrilling way. Together, you will visit the local fish market, stroll past colorful fruit and vegetable stands, and enjoy the beautiful view of the sea along the Corniche.

Your home during these days is the Mandarin Oriental Muscat, located directly on the promenade. From here, you can explore many attractions on foot and immerse yourself in the local life – especially in the evening, when many young Omanis meet at the promenade. A visit to the traditional Mutrah Souk with its colorful shops and lively impressions can also be perfectly integrated into your days.

From Muscat, you will continue your journey in a relaxed manner towards Nizwa. Your stay begins with a visit to the Oman Across Ages Museum, which presents the history and development of the country in a modern, vivid, and easily understandable way, even for children. Afterwards, you will jointly explore the old town of Nizwa with its traditional souks, where there is much to discover and which offer a lively insight into Omani everyday life.

After that, your route leads further up into the impressive mountain world of Jabal Akhdar. Your destination is the Anantara Hotel, which is particularly well-suited for families. While children and teenagers are well cared for in the varied Kids' and Teens' Club and can enjoy numerous activities, parents have time to relax. Once you reach an altitude of over 2,000 meters, a spectacular panorama opens up to you. The coming days invite you to experience the special mountain region at a leisurely pace – through gentle explorations, shared excursions, or simply by enjoying the nature and the time together.

Today holds very special experiences for the whole family, combining authentic encounters with stunning nature. First, you will visit Abood's Farm in Al Jarda, a traditional, family-run farm where hospitality is lived from the heart. During a joint tour of the extensive grounds, young and old will immerse themselves in rural Omani life. Among date palms, mango trees, and other fruit plants, children and adults collect exciting impressions from farm life and, depending on the season, from the date harvest. The many animals, such as goats, cows, turkeys, rabbits, and pigeons, also bring shining eyes to the children.

At lunchtime, you will take a seat in the traditional Majlis and enjoy a lovingly prepared snack mainly made from products from the farm – a delightful moment that reflects the warmth and authenticity of Oman. Well-fortified and with many new impressions, you will continue your journey thereafter.

Now the landscape changes: the road takes you into the fascinating vastness of the desert. Gentle sand dunes, endless horizons, and the special light create an almost magical atmosphere. The last stretch is covered on the back of a camel – a true adventure for the whole family. After a lively morning in the desert, it’s time to say goodbye to the dunes, and you make your way back toward Muscat. Along the way, you will make a refreshing stop at Wadi Bani Khalid – a dreamlike oasis that is ideal for swimming, splashing, and exploring. Back in Muscat, you will unwind and spend four more nights at Jumeirah Muscat Bay.
