On the way to the Omani Mountains

This morning, you will follow the perfectly constructed panorama road and continue towards the Omani mountains. Approximately 200 km from Muscat, on the southern edge of the Hadjar Mountains, is the oasis city of Nizwa. Especially in the past, this city played an important role in the history of Oman, since it was once the capital of the country and is still an important commercial centre of the region. Besides the traditional souk, the fortress of Nizwa is also worth a visit. The imposing round tower is the largest tower in Oman. All in all, there is a lot to see in the region, many small sleepy oasis villages hide on the slopes of the Hadjar Mountains.
