Traveling is more than just visiting places; it's a profound experience that allows you to discover cultures, people, and yourself. My mission is to create unforgettable journeys that go far beyond the ordinary.

My most memorable trip

Saudi Arabia

My first trip to Saudi Arabia was something quite extraordinary. I had waited many years for a visa and hoped for the opportunity to visit the country. In winter 2020, the time had finally come. The city, characterized by its proximity to Mecca and its own port, was incredibly open, modern and multicultural. Saudi Arabia captivated me from the very first moment. In Medina, I was one of the first Christians allowed to visit the city, and in AlUla I had the impressive rock tombs and natural wonders almost all to myself. This pioneering feeling and the numerous encounters, which were often the first with tourists for the locals, made this trip a unique experience for me as a lover of Arabia that I will never forget.

On my bucket list

Colombia

Colombia has been on my bucket list for a long time and for many years I have only just missed out on a trip, which I really want to make up for. The many contrasts, colors, history and mixture of tropical beaches, the majestic Andes and lush rainforests attracts me. We already have a lot of experience of traveling to Colombia in our team and our colleagues are passionate about selling the destination, so I really want to see for myself.

Philip Eichkorn's passion for travel began during his school years when he decided to sell travel. This time in Muscat was formative and led to the founding of his private desert camp, Canvas Club Camp, and the destination agency Silent Sands. His deep connection to Oman and his extensive expertise across the Middle East, especially in Saudi Arabia, the U.A.E., Jordan, and Lebanon, make him a sought-after expert.

Over the years, Philip Eichkorn has built up an excellent network of contacts and has been involved in planning and implementing trips to over 20 countries, including destinations in Africa and North America. His deep connection to the Orient, his passion for Africa and North America, and his ability to create tailored travel experiences distinguish him as an outstanding expert in the industry.

His personal travel experiences, such as encountering gorillas in Rwanda or exploring Saudi Arabia right after it opened up, have profoundly shaped him. These experiences influence his work at Take Memories, where he brings his passion and comprehensive knowledge into the design of unique journeys.
