For over ten years, I have been passionately at home in tourism. I only discovered Oman for myself with Take Memories – and it fascinated me so much that I have already been there for the third time. Today, I plan Oman trips with the same anticipation with which I keep returning there.
Oman fascinates me anew with its diversity. One can travel there as often as they like – this magical world surprises you every time with undiscovered corners and new facets.
On my bucket list
A crossing through the Rub al-Khali desert
An absolute dream experience for me is our Oman expedition, during which I cross the Rub al-Khali desert in several days from our Canvas Club Camp to the south of Oman to Salalah. The seclusion of the desert and the adventure factor incredibly entice me about this unique experience, and I hope to experience it myself very soon.

Musandam
My next trip will definitely lead me to Musandam – a corner of Oman that I have not yet discovered. I am particularly drawn to the spectacular landscapes there, which are also known as the "Norway of the Orient." I would love to experience this fjord-like landscape traditionally on the Rubba.

Even as a child, Aladdin was one of my favorite films – that magical 1001 Nights feeling was always a small dream of mine. Before my time at Take Memories, I had never traveled to the Arab world. But in Oman, I finally found that very magic. Because, to be honest: Where can you experience the 1001 Nights feeling better than in our Canvas Club Camp in the middle of the desert?
By now, I have already been to Oman three times, and each trip has shown me new sides of the country. To this day, I am fascinated by the deep authenticity and tranquility felt there – the vastness of the desert, the warmth of the people, that feeling of timelessness.
And then there is the cuisine, which I simply find fantastic. Hummus and dates every day? Always gladly! It's exactly such things – the flavors, the hospitality, the little moments – that continually draw me back to Oman. I want to pass on this enthusiasm to you so that your journey also becomes a very personal 1001 Nights experience.

Nizwa
I was totally surprised by how incredibly charming Nizwa is and how many stylish cafés are hidden in the historic city. One should definitely stay overnight here to experience the special atmosphere. When the fairy lights are turned on in the evening, there is a magical mood in the old streets.
Alila Hinu Bay
Alila Hinu Bay holds a special place in my heart because I was welcomed there with incredible warmth and hospitality. The rugged, moon-like landscape surrounding the resort is something very special. For me, it is the ideal place to unwind after an exciting tour.
Muscat
Muscat delights me with the fascinating Sultan Qaboos Mosque, the colorful Souq of Mutrah, and relaxed evenings where you can enjoy excellent food and stroll along the Al Mouj promenade. My absolute hotel recommendation is the Chedi Muscat - for me, the perfect start for a tour in Oman!
